If you have a website you will have heard a lot about ways in which you can promote it. One of our favourite ways is article writing. However you may be wondering why this is such a great way to promote your website. This article will give you some advice and tips on why we think it is something you must be doing.

If you are not writing article for your website yet then you should start right away as they are brilliant for promoting your website and for SEO. Below are our main reasons for writing articles for site promotion:

If you write articles and add them to your website you will be adding pages to your website. This is really great as it is an important factor for search engine rankings. You will quite often find that the top 10 results for any search terms are ordered by the number of pages. So the more your write and add to your website the better.

Believe it or not but people will read articles to get the information they need and if they think you know what you are talking about they will follow the link to your website. This could result in targeted traffic being sent to your website with the potential of selling them your products or services. This is important because many of the article directories do well in the search engines and can help to drive traffic to your website.

4. Become an Expert

What will people think of you if they see you have written a large amount of information on your area of expertise? Well the natural reaction will be that you know what you are talking about. This is great because it builds the trust relationship between you and your potential clients very quickly. Remember that everyone wants to buy from someone they trust and knowing what you are talking about increases the chance of building a trust relationship.

5. Newsletter Production

If you write regularly then there will be plenty of people that may want to keep up to date with what you are saying. You can send people your articles by email as a form of newsletter and this can be great for marketing opportunities. Not only will this increase the occurrence of people returning to your site it also give you the possibility to generate money through advertising. By using appropriate and targeted advertising you can give people what they want.
