If you have a website then you will probably be trying to get traffic to your website in order to sell your products or services to these people. If this is the case article writing may be for you. Below you will find out just how article writing can benefit your business.

Most people with a website will be looking for internet traffic and to do so will be trying to get their website to the top of the search engines. Article writing can help with both internet traffic and search engine rankings in a number of ways.

With my website what I do is to write articles regularly, usually at least 2 per week. These articles are then added to my website as well as submitted to article directories, around 150 per article. This has many benefits to my business and my traffic and these are:

1. Traffic from the Articles

The first thing to say is that people do read articles on article directories. This means that for every article you submit to an article directory you will get several people reading your article. If you submit to a large number of directories, the number of people reading each article will grow significantly. If your articles are big then there is a high chance they will follow a link to your website. This will give you traffic directly from your articles.

2. Links to Your Website

In all article directories you will get a resource box at the bottom of the article. This will allow you to place between 1 and 3 links to other websites. In addition you can use your chosen anchor text in the link that you place. So if you are trying to improve your search engine rankings you can see how you will very quickly acquire links. As these links can include your anchor text you will find that you very quickly move up the search engines for your chosen keywords. This will enable you to gather target traffic through the search engines as well.

3. Increased Pages on Your Website

One of the elements used to rank your website in the search engines is number of pages. If every time you write an article you add it to your own website you can see how the number of pages you have will increase rapidly. This will give you extra weight with the search engines and allow you to go up the rankings.

4 Links from Social Bookmarking

We would recommend submitting each of your articles to the major social bookmarking sites. In our experience you can get a huge amount of traffic to your website through this type of bookmarking as other users read your articles. We have found this can be one of the best ways to generate traffic to your website quickly.

5. Improved Reputation

As you write more and more about your industry you very quick become an expert in your field. Whether you were or not before, your articles will make you look like and expert to the rest of the internet community. This will help with increasing your conversion rate once people come to your site as they will have more faith in you.

So if you are not writing articles right now then it is time to start. It is probably one of the most effective ways to increase your internet presence and bring people to your website.
