4 Common Mistakes Made By Newbie Internet Marketers

By: Steve Weber

I help many beginners who are trying to build Internet businesses. Unfortunately, many beginners fall for the many scams targeting them. I'm going to cover some of the most common online scams beginners fall for.
1. Turnkey sites - These packages, although maybe not your typical online scam, are still not helpful to beginning online marketers. The reason is that these easy and quick sites are often not SEO friendly. Also, many of these sites usually have duplicate content problems. Beginners should steer clear of these sites, and learn how to make search engine friendly web pages.
2. Easy and cheap links - Never participate in anything that promises you many back-links. Never sign up for offers which say something to the effect, “$29.95 for 10,000 back links.” That is a guaranteed scam. And not only is it a scam, but it can also get you banned from Google!
3. Free classified sites – Beginners often want to promote affiliate marketing offers on free ad sites. Free classified sites simply won’t. Who goes to free ad\classified websites to buy anything? I sure don’t, and I'm sure you don't either. No cost classified sites are visited mainly by the advertisers there who trying to produce. Legitimate buyers do not visit those types of free sites.
4. Free hosting – Free hosting isn't really a scam, it really is a waste of time and effort for Internet marketing beginners. No cost hosting offers a place to put a web page, but the web site does not belong to the site owner. It is a free site, and the owner of the site is putting work and effort
